How to Get Here<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The airport within the city of S\u00e3o Paulo is Congonhas Airport, but it only offers national flights. The international airport is GRU (Guarulhos), which is 40 km far from the city center. From there, people can reach the city by Uber, Taxi, bus or train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also three Bus Terminals that connect S\u00e3o Paulo with other cities in Brazil: Tiet\u00ea, Barra Funda, and Jabaquara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tiet\u00ea Bus Terminal is the largest in Latin America. There are lines for 21 Brazilian states and buses for more than 1,000 cities. It is in the North Zone of S\u00e3o Paulo and is home to the Portuguesa-Tiet\u00ea subway station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Barra Funda Bus Terminal is the second largest in the city and is located at Barra Funda subway station, which integrates CPTM (train services). It has buses to 466 cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jabaquara Intermunicipal Terminal is a small terminal that mainly serves bus lines destined for the south coast of S\u00e3o Paulo. There are buses to 10 cities (mainly on the coast of S\u00e3o Paulo State), including Guaruj\u00e1, Santos and Bertioga. It is in the South Zone of S\u00e3o Paulo, at the Jabaquara subway station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the city of S\u00e3o Paulo, there is also an extensive subway network with easy access to the University of S\u00e3o Paulo and the FEA campus. The closest station to USP is Butant\u00e3<\/em><\/strong>, on line 4 (yellow). From there, you must take a bus or an Uber\/taxi (around 5 minutes) to reach the campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FEA USP is located in the western part of the city, and the best neighbourhoods to stay in are Pinheiros, Vila Madalena, and Jardins<\/strong>. These lively areas are close to public transport, easy to grab a taxi or an Uber, and full of restaurants and bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It takes 20 to 30 minutes (by car) from these neighbourhoods to USP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Brazil\u2019s largest city and one of the largest in the world, S\u00e3o Paulo has its share of crime, especially in certain areas. However, it is generally safe for visitors if they remain aware, take basic precautions, and avoid neighborhoods known for high crime rates.
