Submissions must fall into one of the two categories described below:<\/p><h6>Category 1 \u2013 Pre-Qualification Stage:<\/h6><p>Intended for PhD students who have not yet taken their qualification exam but already have a clearly defined topic, research problem, and objectives. The project is expected to contain an initial theoretical foundation, with a brief literature review (to be further developed), as well as the main methodological elements, even if in a preliminary stage and subject to improvement.<\/p><p><b>Note:<\/b> Although these are pre-qualification stage projects, excessively exploratory proposals or those lacking a clear definition of topic, research problem, and objectives will not be recommended.<\/p><p><b>Suggested timing in the program:<\/b> generally in the second year of the PhD.<\/p><h6>Category 2 \u2013 Post-Qualification Stage:<\/h6><p>Recommended for PhD students who have recently completed their qualification exam. Projects in this category must present a clearly defined topic, research problem, and objectives, a robust literature review (including well-established theoretical and conceptual models), and a structured methodological design \u2014 with defined research methods, data collection instruments, and analysis techniques.<\/p><p><b>Note: <\/b>Proposals that have already completed all data collection and are in the analysis stage are not recommended. In such cases, submission as a full paper within the traditional event programming is advised.<\/p><p><b>Suggested timing in the program:<\/b> generally at the beginning of the third year.<\/p><p>The Doctoral Consortium activities will take place <b>exclusively in person<\/b>, at FEA-USP (S\u00e3o Paulo), on <b>Tuesday, November 11<\/b>, <b>in the morning period<\/b>. The detailed schedule will be announced in due course.<\/p><p><b>Submission deadline: July 13, 2025<\/b>, according to the general submission timeline of SemeAd.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-2c9c51c elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"2c9c51c\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-ee74b59\" data-id=\"ee74b59\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1f5e6d1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1f5e6d1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Benefits offered to selected PhD students:<\/h5><ul><li>Exemption from the event registration fee, which also grants access to other in-person activities beyond the Consortium.<\/li><li>One-night hotel accommodation from November 10 to 11, in a hotel designated by the event organization, for PhD students <b>residing outside the city of S\u00e3o Paulo<\/b>. Airfare and additional accommodations are the responsibility of the participant.<\/li><li>Certificate of presentation of the work.<\/li><li>Award for the best thesis project presented in each category, including a certificate of recognition for the advisor and the graduate program of the awarded PhD student.
