An innovative initiative that seeks to engage students from graduate programs in every state in the country.
Nominated by the coordinators of programs at a wide range of higher education institutions in business administration, the pair of graduate students from each institution is committed to promoting the benefits of SemeAd to their peers, both at their own institutions and at institutions in nearby areas, helping SemeAd reach more and more Brazilian researchers.
13 higher education institutions from all 5 Brazilian regions
18 ambassadors (master’s and doctoral students, nominated by graduate program coordinators)
Objective: to increase the number of submissions from authors outside the Southeast region; to increase the number of in-person attendees from outside São Paulo.

“It is very rewarding to be part of the SemeAd ambassador team, not only because it is one of the leading scientific events in the field of Business Administration in Brazil, but also because of the chance to encourage more people to share their work and contribute to the collective building of knowledge in this field.”

“My first year as a SemeAd ambassador has been an incredible experience! Beyond seeing up close all the preparation behind one of the largest academic events in the field, I also get to connect more people to this experience, share important information and help make sure no one misses the submission deadlines. It has been very inspiring to be part of this and to contribute, even if just a little, to strengthening research and the exchange of knowledge.”

“The exchange of knowledge that SemeAd provides contributes significantly to the advancement of science and research in Business Administration. Being an ambassador of the largest academic event in the field in Latin America is an honor and a privilege. “My experience as a SemeAd ambassador has been very enriching, as the role has offered a space for learning, for exchanging experiences and for getting closer to the academic community, broadening my understanding of how relevant the event is to scientific production in Business Administration. On top of that, serving as a reviewer has contributed significantly to my development as a researcher, strengthening my critical and analytical skills and giving me a deeper view of the scientific review process. It has been a very worthwhile experience for my academic and professional development, which is why I strongly encourage other researchers to take part as SemeAd ambassadors as well.”

“This is my second year as a SemeAd ambassador, and it has been a very rewarding experience. My professional path has always been focused on education, but while taking my master’s in Business Administration I found in SemeAd an excellent opportunity to get even closer to research and to the field’s innovative discussions. As an educator and teacher, I believe that promoting science and encouraging the production of knowledge is a way of contributing to the development of society. That is why it is a pleasure to take part in SemeAd and to help, even in a small way, bring more people closer to research and innovation.”

“Being a student ambassador for SemeAd 2026 is an honor and a chance to give back to the academic community everything I have been learning during my master’s. It is very rewarding to help promote such a relevant conference, strengthen scientific production and encourage the exchange of knowledge among researchers. This experience has also widened my academic network and further reinforced my commitment to research and to generating knowledge that transforms society.”

“For me, being a SemeAd ambassador is much more than promoting the event: it is being the bridge that connects people to the very best of research in Business Administration in the country. And living this process has been fantastic! It is a highly dynamic experience in which we learn a lot behind the scenes, exchange ideas with researchers from all over Brazil and, on top of that, help energize and strengthen our academic community.”
Laianny Barbosa do Prado

“It is an enormous source of pride and an immense privilege to carry two such strong banners in my academic life: that of a doctoral student at FEA-USP and that of a SemeAd ambassador!
Living the behind-the-scenes side of the ambassador program has been an incredible experience. Far beyond promoting one of the largest conferences in our field, the process has been about building bridges.”

“Being a SEMEAD ambassador feels almost natural to me. I have followed the event since 2017, always publishing my work, but I was only able to attend in person from 2024 on, and that experience changed my relationship with the conference. Seeing the quality of the discussions up close and exchanging ideas with other researchers made me understand why SEMEAD is such an important reference in the field. So being an ambassador is a way of giving back, and a sincere invitation for more researchers to live this experience.”

“Being a SemeAd ambassador is a great opportunity to connect with and contribute to the academic community in Business Administration and in the other fields of Applied Social Sciences. The participation process is very well organized and welcoming, which makes the experience a meaningful contribution to the ambassadors’ own journey.”

“For me, being a SemeAd ambassador is a chance to strengthen the academic community by encouraging researchers to take part and to exchange knowledge. As a professor in the Department of Management and Economics (DAGEE) at UTFPR, I promote SemeAd to my students and to the participants of outreach projects. I also share the event within my academic network as a doctoral student at FGV EAESP. It has been a very enriching experience to help promote an event that is so relevant to the field of Business Administration.”
