Fredrik’s research interests revolve around areas such as management of innovation, strategic management, knowledge management, and project management. Current research involves studies of knowledge integration in collaborative R&D projects, management of project-based firms, intellectual property rights strategies, open innovation, internationalization of R&D to emerging markets, and industrial dynamics in complex product industries. Fredrik’s research has been conducted primarily in the automotive, defense, energy, and telecommunications industries. Fredrik conducts his research in collaboration with companies such as ABB, Ericsson, Toyota, Saab, Scania and others. He is the director of the KITE Research Group at Linköping University, where he is aiso teaching courses in strategic management, innovation management, knowledge management, business history, and organization theory.
