The SemeAd – Seminars in Administration of the Faculty of Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, and Actuarial Sciences of the University of São Paulo, is an annual scientific event that plays a crucial role in the exchange and discussion of scientific and technological production in the field of Administration in Brazil and abroad.

Since its inception in 1996, the event has undergone a process of development and maturation, currently being recognized as one of the most important in the field of Administration. Research submitted to the event undergoes evaluation through a double-blind review system. Accepted papers are published in the event proceedings and showcased on its website. The best papers receive awards and are nominated to participate in the fast-track process with more than 70 journals associated with SemeAd, including four international ones.

In its latest edition in 2023, SemeAd introduced its first hybrid version, receiving a total of 2,081 paper submissions and engaging more than 3,930 authors and 1,715 attendees, marking a significant achievement.

This year’s edition, scheduled for November 2024, promises to be even better than the previous one. The event will feature its traditional activities such as paper presentations, technological reports, and teaching case sessions, along with Sapiens sessions for improving scientific papers for publication, methodological workshops, and doctoral consortiums. A highlight will be the SemeAd Experience on November 5, 2024, featuring cultural and research-oriented external activities.
