The event

SemeAd – Seminars in Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics, Business, Accounting and Actuarial Science at the University of São Paulo, is a scientific event organized annually that plays an important role in the exchange and discussion of scientific-technological production developed in the field of Business Administration in Brazil and abroad.

Since its creation in 1996, the event has gone through a process of development and maturity, and is currently considered one of the most important in the area of ​​Administration. Research submitted at the event is evaluated using the double blind review system. Approved works are published in the annals of the event and published on its website. The best works are awarded and indicated to participate in the fast-track in more than 70 journals participating in SemeAd, four of which are international.

The event takes place on November 07, 08, 09 and 10, 2023.

SemeAD 2023 has 15 areas: Public Administration, Agribusiness, Entrepreneurship, Teaching and Research, Strategy in Organizations, Organizational Studies, Finance, Innovation Management, People Management, Social and Environmental Management, Marketing, Operations, Information Technology, Tourism and Hospitality , Applied Articles. Yes, SemeAd 2023 will be hybrid. We explored previous experiences with the face-to-face, virtual and hybrid event, in order to make the twenty-sixth edition of SemeAd a unique experience for congressmen who choose virtual activities and congressmen who choose face-to-face activities. Submissions for SemeAd 2023 are now available and the deadline for submission of papers and projects is 07/17/2023.

Registration is carried out exclusively through the SemeAd 2023 platform (https://26.semead.com.br/login.php?). If this is your first login, choose the “register” option. The site will direct you to the registration screen where some information such as full name, email and CPF will be requested.

According to our submission rules (https://semead.com.br/26/en/rules-for-submission/), SemeAd 2023 accepts works of the type: 1) theoretical articles, 2) empirical theoretical articles, 3) applied articles, 4) teaching cases.

On our submission rules page (https://semead.com.br/26/en/rules-for-submission/) we dedicate a specific section just to describe the characteristics of each of the types of work accepted at the congress. Fast-track

At the time of submission of papers, authors can opt for SemeAd’s Fast-Track process and indicate, among the journals registered in the SemeAd database, those whose editorial coverage fits the theme of the work. In the case of Theoretical and Theoretical-Empirical Articles, authors may choose up to one journal in each stratum of the Qualis/Capes system. Applied Articles and Teaching Cases may opt for journals whose scope included this type of work.

If you wish to submit your work (article) to Fast-Track, you must access the work’s editing screen by the submission deadline (07/17/23). When choosing journals, the authors authorize the SemeAd team to forward their articles to the journal editors for appreciation, if they have been considered eligible for Fast-Track

The SemeAd Doctoral Consortium invites doctoral students to submit their Academic Doctoral Thesis proposals in the following areas: Entrepreneurship; Organizational Strategy; Organizational Studies; Finance; Innovation management; People management; Social and Environmental Management; and Marketing. All submissions will be appreciated by the Consortium Coordinators and the Leaders of each of the areas of the Doctoral Consortium. The most suitable submissions will be selected.

The pre-doctoral consortium is an opportunity for masters and masters students nearing the end of their course and who are planning to pursue a doctorate to have the opportunity to submit their thesis pre-projects in order to receive suggestions and contributions from professors of postdoctoral programs.
